Injury Updates

Marcus Stroman is going to miss the entire 2015 season due to a torn ACL. Stroman was Toronto's only hope at a solid number one pitcher. Dickey, and Buehrle are not what they used to be, and I am not sure they can be the head of a rotation anymore. Stroman wasn't a proven stud, but the potential was there to be a 15 plus game winner in the MLB. With Stroman missing the entire 2015 season the Blue Jays pitching rotation is in trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if the Blue Jays started talking to the Phillies about Cole Hammels.

Chris Sale and the White Sox are taking their time with Sale's rehab too make sure he is 100 percent healthy. Sale fractured his foot, so taking his time is crucial to his rehab and getting healthy. I struggled a lot with foot injuries when I pitched, and it's really difficult to get everything behind your pitches your throwing, because you can't put all your weight down on your foot. The White Sox said they expect him to miss his first 2 or 3 starts to begin the season, but will be good to go. This won't have any effect on the White Sox for they have a solid rotation, and it is even better with Rodon having a great spring training.

Cliff Lee cannot catch a break these past couple of years. Once one of the best pitchers in baseball has let age catch up to him. Lee had been rehabbing all winter too make sure he would be ready for spring training. Once he got his first start he felt discomfort in his arm again. Lee threw a bullpen session this week and said he did not feel any better, but it didn't feel any worse. The 36 year old said he is going to try and tough through the injury. The Phillies said they are going to see is Lee can tough through it, but if he can't he will be heading for season ending surgery. The only thing this does for the Phillies is make Cliff Lee untradeable and they can't get anything out of him.

It has been announced that Yu Darvish is headed for his second Tommy John surgery. The Rangers sent Darvish to get checked out by and second doctor who suggested Tommy John Surgery, just like the first doctor. The Rangers haven't made a final decision yet, and have sent him to be checked out by a third doctor. They won't be expecting good news, and will probably announce Darvish will be getting Tommy John surgery by the end of the week. Without Darvish I can't see the Rangers making the playoffs, because the only pitchers left have struggled with injuries.
