Kuroda returned home because the two teams he wanted to play for didn't want to resign him. those two teams were the Dodgers and the Yankees. Those are the only two teams Kuroda has played for, he pitched four years with the Dodgers, and three with the Yankees. Here are some career numbers for Kuroda, he went 79-79 with a 3.45 ERA. He started 211 games, struck out 986 batters in 1,319 innings. I think Kuroda had a solid career in the MLB, and didn't think he needed to go just yet.
His age got the best of him, and the teams he wanted to play for didn't want to make a move on him. It is okay because, it has a happy ending Kuroda is returning to the team he started with in Japan. He had great success in that league and won something similar to the Cy Young Award when he played for this team. I wish Kuroda the best of luck, and you bet I will be following his last couple years in Japan.
