Trade Rumors

Cole Hamels is a number one, head of the rotation guy. Last year he went 9-9 with a 2.46 ERA, and 198 strikeouts in 204.2 innings pitched. He was on the worst Phillies team they have had in years and still manage to put up those numbers. There are a couple teams that are in the bidding for Hamels. The Red Sox, Dodgers, Cardinals, Padres, and Angels have all been in discussions for Hamels. I might surprise people with who I think might land him, but I think the Padres have the best chance. Signing all these out fielders, Upton, Kemp, and Myers has left them with a few questions in their outfield. Myers is the most appealing to trade since he is the youngest, and has the most left on his contract. The Padres managed to not trade their top three prospects in the organization, and with Will Myers in the deal it would be hard for either the Padres, or Phillies to pass up on such a deal.

Troy Tulowitzki is hands down no debate the best short-stop in baseball when he is healthy. He makes plays at short look to easy, when in reality they are really difficult plays, he kind of reminds me of the way Robinson Cano plays second base. The truth is even though Tulo has trouble playing an entire season, the production he has during the span that he is playing is almost good enough to get you to a play-off run, on the right team. The Mets, and Yankees are currently in discussions with making a trade with the Rockies. The one that makes the most sense is the Mets, because they have everything the Rockies would want in a trade, and that is pitching. The Mets would be taking a loss in their pitching depth, but would be gaining a superstar short-stop. People might forget the Mets have Matt Harvey returning from injury this season, and before he got hurt was debatably the best pitcher in baseball. This makes sense for the mets and would certainly help their chances in their division with the Braves, and Phillies looking to rebuild.
