Things are starting to get heated between the Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays. It started at the beginning of the year when the Orioles intentionally threw at slugger Jose Bautista. The pitch just missed Bautista, and he would make them pay for it by yacking a home run later in the at bat. Earlier this week the Orioles pitcher O'Day attempted to hit Bautista, and once again they missed, luckily for O'Day. The look Bautista gave to the Orioles pitcher said it all, but instead of charging the mound Bautista put a charge into the baseball and hit home run later in the at bat. After the home run Bautista stared at the pitcher for a few seconds before doing a bat flip. Bautista proceeded to round the bases chirping at the Orioles players as he rounded the bases. It didn't end there, as Bautista was making his way to the outfield in-between innings, Adam Jones, and Bautista got into an argument.
Now, I can see both sides on this argument, but I am going to side with Jose Bautista. I see what Adam Jones was doing when he decided to argue with Bautista in-between innings. He is the leader of that team, and he is sticking up for his team after Bautista ran around the bases talking trash to the Orioles players. This is the only thing Bautista did wrong, it was a classless move on his part. He let his emotions get the better of him, but would't you have being after being targeted for the second time by pitchers who throw in the 90 plus mph. I don't blame Bautista, this is an emotional sport and when you try to hit me two times things can get a bit chippy. I would just be happy to be alive if I was O' Day, because Bautista had the eye of the tiger and could have charged the mound. The crazy thing is this is the beginning of the season, and these two teams will be seeing plenty of each other.
