They could do a couple of things, they could trade either Jordan Zimmerman, or Doug Fister. Trading Zimmerman would get you the most, probably a top 50 prospect, and more. Fister would be good trade bait, for he could bring some good prospects back to the team. The Nationals could do something else, keep their rotation and go for it all. They are obviously the best team in their division, and with this rotation could make that run to the world series that everyone has been waiting to see.
The Nationals have a couple question marks before they make that run. They don't have a strong bullpen after they traded Tyler Clippard last week. Drew Storen in going to be the closer, and he has been up and down. He still is young, and can have a great season, the question is will he show up in the playoffs. Other than Storen, the Nationals don't have much going for them.
The other question is will Bryce Harper step up, and be the hitter everyone expected him to be. Jason Werth will be missing the start of the season, and they are going to have to produce without one of their best hitters. This means Harper has to step up, and Zimmerman has to stay healthy. The Starting rotation is so good now, they should help the fact that Werth will be missing the beginning of the season.
Great for Max Scherzer, and look forward to see him in a Nationals uniform.
