Got Melk? Chicago does.

Early this morning free agent outfielder Melky Cabrera agreed to a three-year deal worth around $42 million dollars. The White Sox have not confirmed the agreement, until Melky Cabrera passes his physical. Last season Melky hit a .301 average, .351 on base percentage, and .458 slugging percentage. He also hit 16 homeruns, 73 runs batted in, and 54 extra base hits. Those numbers would go perfect in front of the White Sox power house Jose Abreu. The 30 year old switch hitting outfielder adds to the busy off season the Chicago White Sox are having this off season. It is to early to call them a playoff team, but not to early to announce they are a contender in that division. Now that Melky is off the free agent board, that only leaves a couple big name outfielders left. Justin Upton is not a free agent, but I would keep an eye out for him. Seattle losing out on Cabrera might push them to making a trade with the Braves.

Tomorrow I will post the top 10 free agents remaining and where you might see them end up. People like Max Schrezer, James shields, and Chase Headley.
I will also have a top 10 free agents remaining that you might have forgotten about. People like Francisco Rodriguez (K Rod), or Michael Morse. Check it out tomorrow!
