Big things are happening

Did anyone tune into the games I told you to watch yesterday? If not I will fill you in on the details. Carlos Martinez looked fantastic in his first outing of the year throwing 22 strikes out of 29 pitches. He pitched two solid innings in a Cardinals win yesterday. Julio Teheran struggled a little against the Tigers yesterday givings up one run and a couple of hits yesterday. On the other side Alfredo Simon had a solid outings and pitched two shut out innings.

The big developments yesterday were the injuries to Hunter Pence and Yu Darvish. Pence was hit in the elbow yesterday by a pitch while he was batting. He was immediately sent in for ex-rays, which didn't bring good news. They was a fracture, and he will miss 6-8 weeks of action. The Giants depend on their whole roster to perform, especially now more than ever when they lose out of Pablo Sandoval, and Mike Morse. The good news it is a minor set back, and could have been longer. Yu Darvish went in for an MRI on his right tricep, which led to him getting pulled early yesterday. Never a good thing when anything happens to a pitchers throwing arm. The good news is he doesn't have anything wrong with his elbow or shoulder, which are the longest injuries to health from for a pitcher. The results of Darvish's MRI will be accounted at some point today.

One more small thing, did anyone see Kershaw yesterday? My lord does he already look like he is ready for the season to start. He dominated the White Sox yesterday, and earned his rank as the number one player in the game.
